Job Summary



Your Workspace Ltd are a leading manufacturer and supplier of "smart storage" and office furniture. This growing company has expanded over recent years and has established substantial contracts with many major banking, financial and retail clients. As part of the company's continued growth plan, the business is now recruiting for an additional estimator to join our team to help achieve its future ambitions.

This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of CAD drafting experience who is eager to take the next step in their career. You will receive ongoing training and mentorship from experienced professionals, developing your technical drawing skills while contributing to live projects and supporting our sales and design teams.

Main Duties (with training provided)



Produce and update technical drawings and schematics using industry-standard CAD software.

Work with engineers and project managers to interpret design briefs and technical specifications.

Ensure all drawings meet relevant standards and best practices.

Assist in preparing drawing packages and technical documentation.

Maintain organised files and revision control.

Continue building your knowledge through structured training and mentorship.

Other Responsibilities and Duties



Ensure specific customer requests are visible, understood and communicated to all teams. Update drawing for numbering and site plans - once trained. Update drawing post works order issue - once trained.
Drawing Reviews - Assist in checking drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.

Site Surveys & Measurements - Support senior staff by attending site visits to gather dimensions and update drawings.

Library & Template Management - Help maintain drawing libraries, CAD blocks, and standard templates.

Liaison with Suppliers/Subcontractors - Collect technical information (e.g., product specs) to incorporate into drawings.

Revisions & Change Management - Update drawings in response to design changes, feedback, or site conditions.

Work Experience & Key Skills Required



Experience of working in an estimating role is essential. Experienced in Autodesk Products; Word; Excel and project tools. The ability to read, understand and translate technical drawings for quoting/costing purposes. Experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads for self and others. Liaise with customers to obtain required specifications. Forge key relationships with internal staff and external customers & suppliers.

The Person



Full UK Driving Licence would be preferred.

1-2 years of practical experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar).

Understanding of manufacturing procedures. Effective time management - able to work to deadlines. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn and improve.

Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.

Ability to interpret basic engineering or architectural drawings.

Good team player, but able to work unsupervised if required.

Range 25k- 27k depending on experience Workplace pension 22 days holiday Work based training Friday breakfast
