Job Summary
:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience using AutoCAD and working knowledge of SolidWorks, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and assist in the creation of accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs). A background or interest in electrical systems and the ability to read electrical schematics will be considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and modify detailed technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks (3D).
Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) from engineering and product drawings.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency.
Interpret design inputs and sketches to develop comprehensive CAD models and documentation.
Assist with documentation and data management in engineering change processes.
Support cross-functional teams with drawing updates and design revisions.
Occasionally review and interpret electrical schematics for integration into overall design files.
Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Familiarity with SolidWorks and basic 3D modelling concepts.
Experience working with engineering drawings and documentation.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
Some understanding of electrical components and systems.
Experience reading or interpreting electrical schematics.
Prior experience with BOM creation and document control.
Education & Experience:
2+ years of relevant industry experience in CAD drafting or design.
