Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer-aided design and be proficient in various CAD software applications. This role involves creating detailed schematics and technical drawings that support our engineering and design projects. The successful applicant will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure that designs meet specifications and are completed on time.

Responsibilities

Develop and produce accurate CAD drawings and schematics based on project specifications. Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and objectives. Utilise software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to create detailed designs. Review and modify existing drawings to incorporate changes or improvements. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all designs. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports and presentations. Maintain an organised database of all drawings and revisions for easy access by team members. Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Sketchup, and SolidWorks. Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Familiarity with building codes and regulations relevant to design projects is advantageous. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
