Working as a core member of our Global Service Support (GSS) team, you will act as a point of contact for clients who have instructed ABL Group to handle a Hull & Machinery (H&M) or Protection & Indemnity (P&I) investigation or claim case. You will assist our Surveyors and Consultants with obtaining case details, setting up client assignments on our systems, and provide ongoing client liaison from the start to finish of a case.

What will you be doing?



Provide case management services on maritime claims, incident response, casualty investigation and pre-risk assignments. Record instructions and set up cases on our ERP and CRM systems in line with ABL Group requirements. You will pass the details of instructions on to our Surveyors. Liaise with Brokers, Underwriters, Ship Owners and all other concerned parties to ensure that case information is channelled to the correct parties. Oversee the issuing of loss advice or reports to clients and other relevant parties. Receive and sense-check reports from Surveyors with onward referral to additional technical department teams or management as needed. Maintain awareness of case developments and the movement of Surveyors to ensure the best use of resources and that client requirements are met. Obtain instruction confirmation and billing details from the instructing party and ensure that this is logged accordingly. Work alongside our finance team to review and approve intercompany sub-contractor invoices, project invoices, and work in progress. Build and maintain excellent external and internal client relationships, through both face-to-face meetings and other means of communication. Contribute to the development and execution of client relation meetings and workshops. Maintain the integrity and security of client case files in line with the requirements of the QHSE system. Maintain compliance with ABL Group's QHSE policies, manuals, procedures, work systems and regulations at ABL premises, projects and client sites.

What are we looking for?




This position would offer career development to someone who is looking to pursue a career in the Maritime insurance market sector. A background in case or claims handling, loss adjusting or business support, would provide you with a grounding for this opportunity. More specifically, we are looking for the following:

At least 5 years' experience of working in the Maritime or Energy markets. Knowledge of Maritime insurance market practices, roles and policy types is desirable. Experience of project and case management, client or customer liaison, assigning resources, and reviewing technical reports. The ability to delegate projects and cases and communicate with stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority. The ability to be proactive, efficient, and ensure that deadlines are met.

This position will be based at our office in London. We offer hybrid working.
