We're excited to offer an opportunity for a talented Junior Chef de Partie to join our growing kitchen team at The Ship Inn, Musselburgh. Due to a continued increase in business and the seasonal reopening of our outdoor kitchen, we're looking to bring on a committed and passionate chef.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and presenting dishes to a high standard in a safe and timely manner.
Supporting and mentoring junior kitchen team members.
Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chefs with menu development and daily specials.
Maintaining accurate food safety and compliance records.
Helping to manage stock rotation and reduce kitchen waste.
Ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness and kitchen organisation.
Who We're Looking For:
Experience:
Confident in butchery and cooking various meats.
Skilled in fish preparation, including filleting and shellfish handling.
Able to prepare stocks, sauces, vegetables, and garnishes from scratch.
Strong awareness of food safety and allergen practices.
Soft Skills:

Responsible and eager to learn
A REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential--we believe in investing in our team and are happy to provide training to the right candidate.
