Job Description

The post is designed for individuals who would like to gain experience in Emergency Medicine. The post is for 12 Months and you will be expected to work a rota including nights and weekends. The responsibilities of the role include the following:



Contribute to the Emergency service at Prince Charles Hospital Participate in the initial assessment, treatment, referral and disposition of patients attending the Emergency Department. Liaise with other members of the clinical team and other specialties Work a shift pattern including nights and weekends. To participate in clinical audit and activities.

To attend regular teaching and complete eLearning objectives



Summary of the Post .



Provision is made within the rota for candidates to undertake Clinical Audit, personal CPD and teaching. Appropriate advice and support will be given for development towards a career in Emergency Medicine. These posts will be supported by Emergency Medicine consultant staff, whose number include EMUS (Emergency



Medicine Ultrasound) Trainers, resuscitation course leads (ATLS, APLS, ALS), Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine Consultants, Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultants and Honorary Lecturers in Cardiff University .



English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
