We are looking for a Junior Sustainability Consultant to join our team based in our London office.
Please note that this position is suitable for someone who is comfortable and enjoys working with data, supporting social research and climate change projects as well as other projects across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a person who want to help businesses, brands, government and NGOs tackle some of the biggest social and environmental challenges of our time. Our clients, who include Aviva, VMO2, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, NatWest Group, and Just Eat Takeaway, as well as social enterprises, charities, foundations, local authorities and start-ups, look to us to help them answer their questions.
You will work on client assignments as a part of our entrepreneurial and lively team, taking increasing responsibility for projects over time. You will apply environmental knowledge and analytical skills to support a range of data-driven projects. You may be analysing multiple data sources to create a carbon footprint for an FMCG client, or modelling carbon reduction targets for a food company, or researching volunteering opportunities for employees of a financial services. You will also support the growth of Good Business by contributing to our marketing efforts and identifying new business opportunities.
You will be a strong communicator, who enjoys analysing problems, solving them collaboratively and creatively, and then putting solutions into practice. You will also be comfortable writing, researching, and analysing information, and presenting it in different formats.

We are looking for someone who:
have a proven interest in business, and social and environmental issues
is interested in climate issues and keen to learn the concepts of greenhouse gas accounting
have strong data analysis skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets in Excel and draw out key insights
have experience using data visualisation tools
has exceptional written, verbal, analytical and communication skills
has strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
is fully competent in MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Is flexible and adaptable
Salary: 28,000-32,000 plus benefits, depending on experience.
Start date: By early October 2025

You will be asked to complete a numerical skills test and two written skills-based tasks. Each written task is randomised and blind-assessed, and reflects a specific skill that we are looking for as part of this role. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a further test assessing data analysis skills and successful candidates will be invited to interview during August, with the first round of interviews conducted on Teams. These dates are subject to change.
