We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Drafter to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics across various projects, supporting architects, engineers, and designers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise advanced CAD software and Tekla and contribute to innovative construction, system design, and graphic projects. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong technical skills, creativity, and a keen eye for detail to produce high-quality drawings that meet project specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Tekla
Using predominantly Tekla, model and detail projects in accordance with design/drawings provided or even develop your own design proposals in given circumstance with the guidance of Detailers and the Design Manager.
Ensure all drawings and clearly annotated with information so it is accurate and readable by the end user of the drawing
Use other cad software to aid your day to day tasks i.e. autocad
Develop 2D shop/site drawings generated from the 3D Tekla model.
Collaborate with other members of the project team to provide necessary information i.e. Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors
Import files into our internal system to aid production processing and steel pre-ordering
Any other reasonable request the Design Manager may ask of you.
Maintain organised digital files of all drawings and schematics in accordance with company standards.
Experience
Proven experience in CAD drafting within architecture, engineering, or construction sectors.
Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD and tekla.
Strong knowledge of schematics development and system design principles.
Familiarity with construction processes and technical documentation is advantageous.
Experience in graphic design related to technical projects is a plus.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
