We are recruiting for a junior electronics / software engineer based in central Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the next generation of golf technology products. The role includes research and development of new products and support for manufacturing through the early phases of new product introduction.
About the Role:
The role provides a unique opportunity to be part of a team where you can learn from senior engineers and product designers. You will have the opportunity to accelerate experience through real-world projects. Shot Scope has an ambitious roadmap of new products and software for delivery over the next 2 to 3 years.
You will work with the engineering, product and operations teams in the delivery of the next generation of Shot Scope products and in supporting current product manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with electronics engineers and product designers to develop electronics schematics and printed circuit board layout, firmware and test plans for prototypes and volume production.
Project support for senior electronics design engineer and operations director for new product development, design for manufacturability and early volume production.
Assist in developing embedded firmware, writing C/C++ code for microcontrollers.
Assist in developing and maintaining test sequences, writing in Python 3.x.
Assist in debugging of hardware & firmware across prototypes and production environments.
Maintain and update technical documentation across all R&D and sustaining activities.
What We're Looking For:
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Basic proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout design packages
Basic proficiency in C/C++ firmware development and debugging
Basic proficiency in Python for test scripting/automation and debugging
An understanding of digital electronics and hardware interfaces,
Exposure to version control systems such as Git.
