Due to the company's continued success, an exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Junior Estimator.

This role is to work directly with the Managing Director and Project Manager.

About the Role:

Estimate all project variations and assist project manager / managing director on estimates

Manage project budget costs - cost value and reconcilliation

Estimate projects from first principals

Raise variation jobs on the software system and enter tender codes

Send tenders packages out to sub-contractors and to nominated suppliers.

Quote from drawings and present subsequent quotations to customers.

Experienced in estimating and small works, also variations.

Attend all project meetings

Meeting clients and discussing their requirements, gaining clear instruction on any changes or additions to the project

Assist MD to manage stage payments and monthly valuations.

Must understand bill of quantities

.Must be able to read drawings

Candidate Requirements:

Knowledge and experience of the construction industry, with part commercial.

Must be computer literate, excel and word - Eque2 or CM software experience desirable but not essential.

The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication skills and a team player, you should be self-motivated.

Good and accurate measuring skills.

Happy to be both office and site based

. Evaluating and validating subcontract payment notices

. Able to work individually as well as part of the team

Full UK driving licence.

. Having learnt on the job or 2 years experience / diploma desirable

In return the company is offering a Competitive Salary Circa 28 - 32k depending on experience.
