Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Associate to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Duties:



Perform day-to-day reconciliation of e-money accounts, scheme settlements (Visa/Mastercard), and client safeguarding accounts across multiple currencies. Investigate and resolve breaks by liaising with Operations, Treasury and Banking partners Post journals for customer funding, merchant pay-outs, fees and chargebacks Maintain the payments ledger and support month-end close activities (accruals, prepayments, FX revaluations) Regulatory & risk support Assist with production of daily safeguarding calculations and quarterly FCA returns (REP-018, FIN-REP). Prepare data packs for internal audit and external auditors. Investigate and resolve breaks by liaising with Operations, Treasury and Banking partners. Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing necessary data analysis and insights. Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions in a timely manner. Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting and analysis. Maintain organised records of financial transactions and documentation for audit purposes. Participate in special projects or initiatives as required by the finance team.

Qualifications



A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred or AAT Level 3/4 Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is advantageous but not essential. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Dynamics and other financial software applications. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
