Job objectives and responsibilities
The role is extremely commercially focused, supporting contract/project managers, operations and business development teams. The key to being successful in this role is adding value - supporting growth targets by winning new business with the business development teams and working with operations to ensure we maximise revenue from existing clients and make sure we deliver our services as efficiently as possible, ensuring contract profitability is maximised and working capital management is optimised.
Responsible for producing the monthly management accounts for allocated business units, ready for review with the Head of Commercial Finance, Divisional Finance Director and Business Unit Directors.
Good close working relationship with the operational and commercial teams, providing commercial and financial input where required.
Tracking and managing client projects in line with current accounting standards.
Review contract profitability, highlighting high and low margin contracts for discussion with relevant operational/commercial managers.
Responsible for delivering a detailed rolling forecast and annual budget, ready for presentation to senior management.
Act as the link between operations and central finance functions to drive a customer service culture.
