The Role



We are looking for an ambitious Junior Front-End Developer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Development Lead, you will work closely with our Experimentation Leads to create and deliver exciting new experiences, features and improvements for the hundreds of thousands of customers that visit our clients' websites every day.

You will need to be a team player with an eye for detail (including UX, site-speed, accessibility and web standards) and a problem-solving mentality with a sharp focus on the customer experience.

Conversio is seeking a candidate who is proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

As a key member of the team, you will have exposure to all aspects of working on client accounts, as well as supporting internal product development projects where necessary. CRO experience is not essential, but a willingness to learn quickly is.

Key Responsibilities:



Build and develop A/B tests, MVTs and personalisation campaigns ensuring responsive, cross-device and browser support. Utilising our project management platform to manage multiple development tickets and prioritise them accordingly to hit deadlines. Manipulating the DOM with JS to serve experiment variations with an emphasis on minimising "flashing" or lag. Building reusable and well documented code for future use. Create documentation outlining processes. Thorough UAT/QA processes to ensure that experiments adhere to the highest standards.

What you will need (Essential):



Front-end development ability including a working knowledge of HTML (including HTML5), CSS, JavaScript (experience of ES6 and JavaScript frameworks are a bonus). A good understanding of website usability and accessibility. Be comfortable with understanding and interpreting UX designs and design platforms (such as Figma) and brand design principles or guidelines. Ability to interpret and code briefs and designs for onsite page elements. Analytical and pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Excellent communications skills, both internally and externally. Strong attention to detail. Firm understanding of how to develop front-end code that is lightweight and efficient.

Desirable skills:



Working knowledge of Google Analytics. General understanding of A/B testing and conversion optimisation Experience of any of the major CRO platforms - Optimizely / AB Tasty / Dynamic Yield / Adobe Target / VWO. Experience with other analytics packages, eg. Adobe Analytics. Being able to demonstrate an understanding of using Git/version control and working with platforms such as GitHub Ability to utilise AI (ChatGPT/Claude) to support your development would be viewed very positively.

We're offering a competitive salary that will be based on the experience of the candidate. This is coupled with market leading holiday allowance of 30 days per year (plus bank holidays) and a hybrid working environment, where the role is based in our central London offices with the ability to also work from home.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 27,000.00-32,000.00 per year
