The Role



We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer to support the development of modern, web-based software solutions and AI-enabled systems.

This is

not

a traditional junior role within a large development team. You will work

directly with Ax AI's senior management team

, including technical and commercial leadership, rather than being layered beneath other developers. You will gain early exposure to system design, decision-making, and client-facing work, while being supported as you develop your technical skills.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is curious, motivated, and excited by the opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities



Assist in building and maintaining full stack web applications using modern frameworks Support front-end development using clean, responsive, and accessible UI components Contribute to back-end development including APIs, databases, and application logic Work alongside senior management to translate business problems into technical solutions Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, and documentation Help integrate AI and automation features into existing and new systems Write clear, maintainable, and well-tested code Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement Support bug fixing, optimisation, and ongoing system enhancements

Required Skills and Experience



Basic experience with JavaScript and modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, or similar Some exposure to back-end development using Node.js, Python, or equivalent Understanding of REST APIs and basic database concepts (SQL or NoSQL) Familiarity with Git and version control workflows Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as OpenAI (including Codex), Claude, or similar Ability to use large language models to support coding, debugging, documentation, and problem-solving Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow quickly

Desirable (Nice to Have)



Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Awareness of AI APIs and model integrations Understanding of prompt design and AI-assisted workflows Experience working with SaaS products or internal business systems Interest in automation, data, and AI-driven software development
