Junior Graphic Designer

Edinburgh, SCT, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Junior Graphic Designer

About us

We're a friendly, fast-moving creative agency who specialises in property marketing. You'll join a close-knit team of designers, videographers, photographers and account managers who value learning, collaboration and high standards. We're versatile, responsive and proactive - so we're looking for someone who shares those values and can adapt to every brief.

The Role

We're looking for a Junior Designer to support concepting and delivery across digital and print. You'll report to the team lead, work with designers for mentoring and feedback, and help bring ideas to life - from social content and web assets to brand collateral and campaigns.

What you'll do

Create high-quality design assets for digital (web, social, email) and print (brochures, event materials). Translate briefs into clear visual solutions, iterating based on feedback. Apply and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency across touchpoints. Prepare artwork for delivery/production with tidy, well-organised files. Collaborate closely with designers, videographers, photographers and account managers. Perform quality checks before delivering work.

What you'll bring (must-haves)

A strong portfolio showcasing creative flair across digital and print. Working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud - especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. A problem-solving mindset: you question, understand and respond to briefs with intelligence and creativity. Attention to detail and pride in craft. Team skills: clear communication, time management and openness to feedback. Confidence in following brand guidelines and maintaining consistency.

Nice to have (desirable, not essential)

Creative advertising exposure - e.g., copywriting, messaging strategy, campaign thinking, or content ideation. UX and UI understanding - awareness of user-centred design principles and how to create intuitive, engaging digital experiences. Basic CMS familiarity (WordPress, Elementor). Basic understanding of SEO principles and writing for digital. Email marketing experience - designing and building campaigns across various platforms and software. Experience preparing files for print and liaising with suppliers. Knowledge of additional Adobe apps (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Lightroom).

About you

You bring energy and positivity to every project, no matter how big or small. You're eager to learn, take feedback well and grow quickly. Polite, friendly and collaborative - with the ability to work autonomously when needed. You think critically and creatively to get the best outcome. You can manage your own workload and deadlines and flag issues early. You're proactive and comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone. You can talk through your ideas and present them with confidence.
