Baker Ross is a growing Arts & Crafts e-commerce business in need of a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join their Creative Team in-house at their new offices in Harlow, Essex.

This is an exciting and varied role supporting our design and development teams by providing artwork and graphics for catalogue layouts, packaging and digital assets for web, video and e-marketing.

If you have creative flair, love artworking and a keen eye for detail, this could be a chance for you to develop your skills in a fun creative company.

Core responsibilities

Artworking, reformatting and resizing of catalogues

Artworking our own branded packaging

Creating and adapting artwork for use in digital media

Updating and reworking existing artwork and designs

Photoshop work creating web and emails assets

Image editing for Amazon

Artworking of any printed material e.g., parcel inserts, flyers etc.

Video editing and animation an advantage

Experience required

A Graphic Design Degree or equivalent

Portfolio showcasing strong creative skills and digital design projects

Knowledge of Creative Suite applications (we use CC) in a Mac based environment

Solid communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Image retouching skills in Photoshop, including colour corrections and cut outs

High degree of accuracy, and excellent eye for detail

Able to work to tight deadlines and fast turnarounds

A love of photomontages

Knowledge of style sheets, parent pages and working to brand guidelines

Video editing and animation an advantage using Premier Pro and Canva

Ability to work as a team and independently

A desire and willingness to learn with a can-do attitude

A family-run company since 1974, we are the market leader in the children's arts and crafts sector, selling successfully in the B2B and B2C space for over 45 years, online and through our catalogues.

Our new offices are located in Harlow, Essex CM19 5AW.

We are not close to public transport, so candidates must be within commutable distance to our offices and have their own transport.

Salary: 25,000 per annum, according to experience

Hours: Mon - Fri 8.15am - 4.45 pm

Holidays: 23 days + bank holidays
