Mlily is a global mattress, pillow and mattress topper manufacturer. With five production bases globally, Mlily sells products in over 73 countries and regions.
Manufacturing both foam and hybrid mattresses, our global facilities focus extensively on the research and development of all products which has led to us patenting a number of our technologies across the world. Concentrating on these areas enables our products to reflect the commitment we have to developing the right products for the right markets.
Within the UK team, we are responsible for in-house design and strategy execution for the UK, Canadian and French markets. We also hold responsibility in the UK for the delivery of Mlily's global sports partnership with Manchester United across all markets and regions, as well as in-house design for the UK mattress manufacturing company, Breasley (UK) Ltd.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our expanding business across the UK. Based in Manchester and working under the guidance of the Head of Global Design, you will gain exposure and understanding across all areas of the business.
Principal duties will include:
Working with the wider Marketing Team to understand graphic and brand requirements across the business and providing creative input
Designing and creating product, social media and website assets under guidance and with support
Editing and managing product photography
Act as a brand ambassador to ensure brand guidelines are followed across all areas of the business
Ensuring all Marketing Team content is kept in appropriate areas on file sharing database.
Working on individual projects to support Retailer and Sales Agent bespoke marketing requests
Providing wider graphic support across global initiatives
Attending trade events as part of your learning and development
Understanding and sharing market trends and competitor activity
This is an exciting role with the scope to include additional duties as you develop and expand your knowledge.
The ideal candidate will have:
A degree/qualification in Graphic Design or at least 1-2 years of graphic design experience
A portfolio demonstrating previous design work across a range of media
The self-discipline to work remotely whilst maintaining focus on the job at hand
The ability to prioritise workload/changing priorities to meet tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An understanding of the role brand guidelines and brand messaging play in the design and creation process
Good knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
Experience in video editing and animation preferred (After Effect or Premier Pro), but not essential as training can be given
A can-do attitude with an abundance of enthusiasm and a flair for design
Some travel may be required
