OddBalls Junior Graphic Designer



Role Overview



We're on the lookout for a talented and motivated Junior Graphic Designer who's ready to build on their existing skills and grow in a fast-paced, creative environment. You'll work closely with our senior design team across a range of exciting projects including digital marketing assets, underwear pattern design, campaign visuals, web graphics, and more.

You'll need a solid understanding of typography, layout, brand identity, and illustration as well as a creative eye and a willingness to learn. You should feel confident contributing ideas and taking feedback on board, all while thriving under tight deadlines and working collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities



Support the Senior Graphic Designer in producing marketing and web assets Assist the design team with underwear job sheets and pattern development Offer input in creative meetings and brainstorming sessions Produce attractive and effective designs across various media channels Communicate with senior team members to receive and implement feedback Liaise with other departments to ensure all design requirements are met Support the team throughout the execution of campaigns and seasonal projects Occasionally assist the photographer with product image editing Provide support during location photoshoots when required Ensure all creative outputs align with brand guidelines and project briefs.

Successful Candidate:



1-2 years' experience in a design-based role Strong Design Portfolio Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign Strong understanding of typography, layout, and brand identity Basic illustration skills Strong written and verbal communication Determined to develop design skills and increase creative efficiency Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask Comfortable working as part of a team and taking initiative Able to deliver high-quality work consistently, regardless of project size A keen eye for current trends and cultural relevance Receptive to feedback with a willingness to improve

Desirable Skills



Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint Understanding of UX principles Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects

Salary and benefits



25k - 27k per annum dependent upon Industry Experience 24 Days annual leave plus bank holidays

Place of work



4 days per week at our office in Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate in North Shields. 1 day per week WFH

Working hours



Full time, 37.5 hours per week

8.30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. Monday - Thursday

8.30 a.m. - 2.00 p.m. on Fridays
