You'll provide comprehensive legal support across the Group, focusing on
commercial contracts
and
property-related matters
, working closely with the
Head of Legal
and
Chief Financial Officer
to ensure our contractual and governance processes are robust, compliant, and aligned with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Review and Management
Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Support the development and maintenance of standard contract templates and clause libraries.
Conduct legal due diligence for contract renewals, novations, and amendments.
Maintain accurate records of contractual commitments, renewals, and termination dates.
Property and Lease Oversight
Review and manage property leases, licences to assign, and lease renewals.
Maintain a central schedule of lease obligations, rent reviews, and renewal timelines.
Liaise with landlords, property agents, and external solicitors on property matters.
Governance and Compliance
Ensure all contracts and property agreements comply with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
Advise internal teams on contractual risks, obligations, and compliance requirements.
Assist in developing internal governance policies and contract management procedures.
Legal Support and Collaboration
Partner with finance, estates, and operations teams to ensure legal considerations support wider business goals.
Contribute to legal risk assessments and new business projects.
Provide ad-hoc legal advice and prepare reports or summaries for senior management and the Board.
About You
Essential:
UK-qualified solicitor or legal executive (1-3 years PQE).
Strong experience in commercial contract law and property lease management.
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
Clear and pragmatic communication style.
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable:
Previous in-house experience, particularly with NHS or public sector contracts.
Familiarity with DocuSign, SharePoint, or contract management systems.
High level of commercial awareness.
Collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
