Junior Insights Analyst

Job Description

We're looking for an inquisitive, curious and commercially minded Junior Insights Analyst to join our fast-growing, data-led ecommerce business.

This role is ideal for someone early in their analytics career who is ready to take ownership of core reporting and analysis, while continuing to develop their technical and commercial skills. You'll work closely with marketing, growth and ecommerce teams to turn data into clear, actionable insight that directly informs decision-making.

We're hiring for a full-time, permanent role working Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm.



Our office is located in the Fora offices on Station Road, Cambridge.

Responsibilities

Insight & Commercial Analysis



Analyse marketing performance across digital and offline channels (including direct mail and catalogues) and translate results into clear, commercially relevant recommendations Support customer targeting and offer evaluation using customer purchase and behavioural data Proactively explore data to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities, and surface insights that could impact commercial decisions

Reporting & Dashboards



Take ownership of weekly trading and performance reporting, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate and clearly understood Maintain and develop dashboards used by marketing, growth and ecommerce teams to inform day-to-day decisions Continually improve reporting clarity, structure and usefulness as your understanding of the business grows

Growth & Experimentation



Support live growth initiatives and experiments, including A/B tests, helping to measure impact and identify learnings Work closely with marketing and digital teams on ad-hoc analysis to optimise campaigns and website performance Help ensure insights from experiments and campaigns are clearly communicated and acted upon

Collaboration & Development



Work closely with the Head of Insights and cross-functional teams, contributing meaningfully from the first few months Build confidence in owning analysis end-to-end: from pulling data, to analysis, to presenting clear conclusions Question results, test assumptions and constructively challenge interpretations when needed

Skills & Requirements

Strong interest in data, insight and commercial problem-solving Comfortable working with numbers and explaining what they mean in plain English Curious, proactive mindset with a willingness to ask questions and challenge assumptions Ability to manage multiple pieces of work and deliver to deadlines Confidence working with imperfect data and ambiguous questions
Technical familiarity with (or strong willingness to learn):

SQL Excel / Google Sheets At least one analytics or data visualisation tool (e.g. Tableau, Google Analytics, Power BI, Polar)
Relevant experience may come from:

A graduate or entry-level analytics role A marketing, CRM or digital role with strong data exposure Internships, placements or university projects Online courses or self-directed learning

Desirable

0-2 years' experience in an analytical or data-focused role Experience in analysing marketing, ecommerce or customer data Exposure to experimentation or A/B testing Background in a numerate or analytical discipline (e.g. maths, science, engineering, economics, psychology)
