We are currently seeking an experienced mechanical engineer for a challenging and varied role. The ideal candidate should possess a strong grasp of mechanical building services fundamentals, along with on-site installation experience, and a keen interest in advancing their career through a design-oriented role. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in working on high-profile residential and commercial projects with national development companies. While experience with industry-specific software is desirable, it is not mandatory. The ability to work independently and collaboratively, coupled with a flexible approach to meet deadlines, is crucial.

Requirements:

Educated to degree / HNC / HND qualification level

Minimum of three years on site experience with further office / design experience in the building services industry

Able to perform design calculations

Ability to work individually or as part of a team

Hold a full UK driving licence

IT literate, ideally with experience in AutoCAD, Revit, Cymap, Dialux

Able to work in the UK without sponsorship

Excellent communication skills

Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

Broad understanding of other engineering disciplines engaged in the design of the built environment.

Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and industry standard design reference material.

Ability to use initiative in response to demands of project.

Able to negotiate and communicate well in graphical, written or verbal forms including ability to listen and to understand others.

Ability to understand and formulate design decisions.

A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and a proven commitment to independent, lifelong learning.

Self-organized and motivated.

Developed problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Represent the company in professional and diligent manner always.

Good Knowledge of relevant legislations, standards, regulations, guides and good practise.

To develop thorough knowledge of and compliance with company procedures and standards.

To contribute and assist, as required by the Project Leader or Senior Partner, or nominated Engineer.

Preparation and development of calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications and other documents relating to each project's designs

Production of details of specifications and outline of designs, creation of and refinement of complex mechanical components

Attend project sites and works testing

Liaising with clients, architects, and other engineers to ensure that the mechanical systems meet the client's requirements and comply with relevant regulations.

Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects at one time
