The Job Profile

We have an exciting vacancy for a junior key account management role within our fast-paced and dynamic international sales team. Reporting to the Head of Europe, you will work across a number of key territories in Europe as the primary sales contact for customers. You will develop a comprehensive knowledge of our UK, US and client lists in order to sell to customers on sales trips, virtual meetings, at book fairs and on email, with the goal of growing sales across the customer base.



The Job Role

You will have responsibility for helping the team drive sales and create strategies for achieving year-on-year growth with European customers, enabling the export team to hit yearly budget targets. You will establish strong, collaborative relationships with your customer base, presenting and selling the complete list of books to wholesale and retail partners in your territories. You will also be responsible for managing the budget for this area of the market, for minimizing returns and for negotiating discounts in order to both deliver sales targets and protect company profitability. Working alongside the export and wider sales teams, you will also liaise clearly with other departments providing excellent customer and competitor feedback to inform publishing decisions, and represent the international sales perspective in internal operational meetings.



The Candidate Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual, with a can-do, positive attitude and a friendly social demeanour. You will have the ability to establish positive, respected and professional relationships with people from all over the world. Experience in publishing sales is an advantage, you will be eager to gain knowledge and experience on direct account management in international markets.



You will be an analytical thinker, be conscientious in your work, have a meticulous eye for detail and have proven understanding of margins, profits and sales data. Your customer relationships should be second to none and you should have confident interpersonal and presentation skills. You will have clear, concise and persuasive written and verbal communication skills, and a diplomatic approach coupled with a strong ability to convince. You should always be willing to take on new challenges, work well under pressure, and be flexible in the face of multiple demands and priorities. You will have a prowess for multi-tasking and innovative thinking and be able to work on your own and as part of a team. A creative flair and experience of international markets would give you an advantage.



Salary

Starting From 30,000 pa plus bonus
