We are seeking a detail-oriented part time Junior Financial Analyst to join the Family Office in a support role. This role would be ideally suited to a candidate who is studying towards a Masters in Finance, Accounting or Investment Management. The successful candidate will report to the office Principal.
Key Responsibilities
? Evaluate potential new investments and perform financial analysis, primarily on public or private companies to assess financial health, forecast scenarios, key valuation and other financial metrics and sector comparables.
? Perform commercial analysis through research using various sources to assess risk and opportunities around market growth drivers, competitive landscapes, upcoming trends and challenges.
? Effectively compile, present and summarize ideas and conclusions effectively to the Principal.
? Regularly review and analyze the performance of current investments, including stocks, bonds, and other assets.
? Pursue ongoing research about investment themes and trends that are relevant to the Family Office's strategy and monitor and interpret their potential impact on the current portfolio.
? Provide support to the Investment team across various tasks and projects which may change dynamically.
? Assist the Principal in basic bookkeeping including Profit and Loss accounts.
Qualifications
? Studying towards a Master's degree or holder of a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, including modules in statistical analysis, investment portfolio management, and financial reporting.
? Some experience within Investment Banking, Hedge Funds, or similar financial institutions is desirable but an understanding of stock markets (equities and bonds), asset pricing and analysis are essential.
? Part Qualified ACCA or currently working towards the qualification is advantageous.
? Proficiency in financial modeling and PowerPoint.
? Advanced Excel skills.
? Exceptional problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
? Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
