Role Description
We are looking for a
Junior IT & Network Support Technician
to join our fast-growing ISP team in
Worthing
. This is a
full-time, on-site role
ideal for a motivated individual with a valid driver's license, a solid understanding of IT and networking fundamentals, and a passion for hands-on technical work.
You will:
Provide first-line support for both internal users and client sites.
Assist with troubleshooting, installations, and maintenance of our network infrastructure.
Report directly to the Network Director, working closely with senior engineers on onsite and remote tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support for network and IT-related issues (onsite and remote).
Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, and wireless equipment.
Diagnose and resolve basic connectivity issues for customers and internal staff.
Support network rollouts, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Perform site visits for installations, link testing, and fault resolution.
Maintain accurate documentation for support tickets, installations, and asset tracking.
Collaborate with the Network Operations team to ensure network stability and efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience with
MikroTik
and/or
Ubiquiti
networking equipment.
Familiarity with
PPPoE, VLANs, firewall rules
, or
wireless link configuration
.
Exposure to network monitoring or ticketing systems.
Certifications such as
CompTIA A+
,
Network+
, or equivalent.
Valid
driver's license
and willingness to travel for onsite support.
Basic understanding of networking concepts:
IP addressing, routing, switching, Wi-Fi
.
Knowledge of
Windows operating systems
and
Microsoft 365
.
Strong
troubleshooting
,
communication
, and
time management
skills.
Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced ISP environment.
