Key responsibilities

Assist with end-to-end accounting process for reporting various elements of the P&L

Post monthly accruals as part of the month-end process, collaborating with senior finance colleagues to ensure completeness and accuracy. Prepare detailed month-end reports for management review, highlighting key variances and supporting business decision-making. Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations, identifying discrepancies & resolving outstanding items. Assist with payment run processing, ensuring timely payments in accordance with agreed terms. Provide assistance to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions when required, contributing to smooth departmental operations. Supporting the Financial Controller to identify, develop and implement improvements.

Skills and Experience

AAT qualified or studying for ACA/ACCA/CIMA

Previous experience with preparation of management accounts Strong Microsoft Excel, enabling efficient data analysis and reporting. Experience using Sage accounting software is desirable Excellent organisational skills & attention to detail for ensured accuracy Strong interpersonal abilities to allow you to build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels within the organisation. Effective communication skills to articulate information clearly when collaborating with team members or presenting findings. Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being comfortable operating independently under supervision A commitment to continuous improvement drives you to identify opportunities for process enhancement and seek guidance when necessary.
