Under the supervision of Senior Controller, you are assisting in maintaining Financial reporting, controlling & planning functions as well as internal control for our fashion brands while working on ad hoc projects. You are in daily liaison with individual Finance Head Offices of the brands, Retail / Store Managers and internal accounting team.

Job responsibilities
FINANCIAL REPORTING, CONTROLLING & PLANNING
Prepare and publish IFRS management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) on a monthly basis :
Review of the monthly package for each brand including balance sheet reports and follow-up with accountants to adjust any issue
Preparation of Stock, Purchases & margin reconciliation's and monthly accruals
In charge of Syrus input for month end and budget - work in partnership with accounting team on journals to prepare each closing
Coordinate and direct the preparation of initial and revised financial forecasts and report variances
Controlling / Analysing:
Explanation of variances between budget and actuals to Head Office on a monthly basis - Develop standardised reports including sales, discount analysis etc
Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for Capital investments, Sales, Stock, Margin, Communication and Selling Expenses
Focus on gross margin evolution/profitability by store - Analysis of variances with stock controller and store manager
P&L reviews and ad hoc analysis with Brands Retail Managers
INTERNAL CONTROL
Review invoices & participate to payment process - ensuring correct delegation of tasks
Cooperate with IC department to develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
OTHER TASKS
Liaising with store managers regularly and assisting in any finance or operational issues or queries they may have
Participation in stock takes (once year),
Analysis of variances with stock controller and store manager
Assist with process improvement projects

Profile
Education and experience:
Experience of 2+ years in a similar role. Familiarity with the Fashion industry & retail business is a plus
Degree with major in Finance, Master in Finance 1 or 2, DESCF, CIMA or Newly qualified ACCA candidate
Software: advanced knowledge Excel, good knowledge of Power Point, experience with corporate ERP (JDE) and reporting systems (Syrus) is a real plus.
Fluency in English. French and/or Spanish is a plus
