Junior Marketing Account Manager

Salford, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About Leverage Agency

Leverage Agency mentors people across the entire fitness spectrum.

Some of our clients are working on the gym floor and want to transition online. Some are already coaching online but feel stuck, inconsistent, or capped at a certain income level. Others are earning good money in the online fitness space already, but know their business could be more structured, scalable, and intentional.

We work with fitness professionals who want to build real online coaching businesses. Not shortcuts. Not gimmicks. Clear offers, better messaging, stronger lead generation, improved sales processes, and systems that actually support long-term growth.

Whether someone is starting from the ground up or refining an already profitable business, our role is the same. We provide clarity, direction, and mentorship so progress is deliberate rather than accidental.

The Role

This role sits at the centre of the client experience.

As a Junior Marketing Account Manager, you will work directly with fitness coaches inside our mentorship. Your job is to help them apply what we teach, keep momentum high, and remove friction between strategy and execution.

A significant part of your work will involve planning and strategising social media content for clients. You'll help them build content calendars that actually serve their business goals, not just fill feeds. This means understanding what types of content drive engagement, generate leads, and support sales. You'll need to think strategically about how each piece of content fits into the bigger picture of growing their coaching business.

This is not a passive support role. You will be expected to think, prioritise, challenge when needed, and guide clients forward. Many of our clients are capable and motivated, but busy, distracted, or unsure what actually matters right now. You help cut through that noise.

You don't need to be the most experienced marketer in the room, but you should understand fundamental marketing principles and how social media marketing works in practice. You do need sound judgement, strong communication skills, and the confidence to hold people accountable in a constructive way.

Responsibilities and Duties

Client Management

Manage a portfolio of mentorship clients and build strong working relationships Act as a point of escalation between clients and the wider team Support clients through onboarding and early momentum phases Maintain accurate records and notes in the CRM

Social Media Strategy & Planning

Develop and plan social media content strategies aligned with each client's business goals Create content calendars that balance education, engagement, and conversion Advise clients on content types, posting frequency, and platform-specific best practices Help clients understand how their content supports lead generation and sales Review and provide feedback on client content to ensure it aligns with their strategy

Marketing Implementation & Support

Support clients in implementing growth strategies across content, offers, lead generation, and sales Translate high-level strategy into clear, actionable next steps Deliver ongoing education so clients understand what they are doing and why Identify blockers early and escalate issues when required

Communication & Reporting

Communicate expectations, priorities, and timelines clearly Attend regular video calls with clients as part of core communication Feed insights and client feedback back to the internal team Keep internal stakeholders updated on client progress in weekly team meetings

Who This Role Is For

This role suits someone who enjoys responsibility and influence.

You like helping people think more clearly. You notice when someone is avoiding the important work. You're comfortable being supportive without being passive, and direct without being abrasive.

You should have a genuine interest in the fitness industry and understand why this market matters. You don't need to be a fitness professional yourself, but you should care about helping coaches build sustainable businesses.

You'll need some practical experience with marketing principles and social media marketing, whether that's from a previous role, freelance work, or running your own platforms. You understand the difference between content that performs and content that just exists.

Requirements

Essential

Based in or able to commute to Manchester Available to be in the office at least 2-3 days per week Demonstrable experience with basic marketing principles Practical experience with social media marketing (either professionally or through personal projects) Strong understanding of platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube A genuine and keen interest in the fitness industry Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable speaking with clients on video calls Organised, detail-oriented, and reliable Able to manage multiple clients without dropping standards
