Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and gain practical experience in mechanical repairs and maintenance. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of senior technicians, assisting with a variety of mechanical tasks across our facilities.

Responsibilities

Assist with routine maintenance and repair of Tucks/HGV's machinery and equipment Support senior mechanics in diagnosing mechanical faults Conduct basic inspections and report any irregularities or safety concerns Help with the installation of new equipment and components Maintain a clean and organised work environment Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment at all times Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used Participate in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills

Skills

Some mechanical understanding of mechanical systems and tools Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills Good organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude Relevant qualifications or experience in engineering, mechanics, or related fields are advantageous but not essential Basic literacy and numeracy skills for record keeping and understanding technical documentation
