Overview


At Beyond Nine, we're on an exciting journey of growth and transformation. We're seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Merchandiser, to support our next stage of growth. Reporting directly to the Head of Merch, you will play a pivotal role to shape and deliver the company's growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:


Supporting the department KPI's: including sales, margin and stock levels. Working closely with internal teams to manage the product range over its lifecycle, communicating opportunities and risks to HoM.

You will be a self-starter who is highly organised, flexible, able to take the initiative as well as being able to work well as part of the team.

In Season Trading



Performing trade analysis, review weekly trade of sales, stock and margin performance and propose suitable actions to drive growth and mitigate risk.

Submitting weekly sell through reports and identifying potential risk and growth opportunities.

Providing clear communication to the comms team on approved trading actions and changes to launches.

Creating and monitoring size ratios for new orders.

Support HoM with monthly sign offs, range building, sign off document/pack

Suggest markdown and promotion activity to maximise profit whilst driving sell through

Stock Management



Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure stock availability aligns with the business needs.

Work with the production, ecom and marketing teams to ensure product go live is smooth.

Work with production team to ensure stock comes into the DC on time, prioritising intake into the business based on performance.

Data & Reporting



Manage Daily Sales, reporting on key financials and offering view on risks and opportunities for the trading week.

Oversee and support creation of appropriate historical data to support analysis of trends and forecasts.

Oversee product data creation on behalf of the business, including SKU and barcode generation.

Carry out monthly and seasonal reviews to offer insightful analysis to make strategic decisions for future season plans. Use this analysis to influence commercial decisions with real impact.

Initiate and propose actions through analysis of brand, category or attribute trading patterns in order to deliver the KPI's.

Provide day to day support to the HoM, updating and maintaining the line detail, line flows and any other key documents.

Planning & Strategy:



Support and actively partake in building the brands seasonal strategy alongside production, design and HoM.

Contribute to range planning process, ensuring balanced forward ranges and aligning to business priorities.

Own the forecasting and trading of product line flows, managing end to end repeat process in line with brand/category OTB

Support HoM in managing the brand and category WSSI's, to include planning and reforecasting identifying trading opportunities and terminal risk. Able to confidently present to HoM.

Actively review brand price architecture alongside regular competitor analysis

Assist in monitoring brand intake margin, supporting on both the development of pricing strategies and the analysis of product selling prices and target margins to align with competitor analysis and profitability targets.

General



Confidently articulate trading decisions as part of weekly trade meetings and monthly sign offs.

Challenge merchandising processes to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively to support the business.

Demonstrate sound commercial judgement and flexibility in response to changing priorities.

Strong understanding of Beyond Nine customer and competitor landscape

Manage Merchandising Admin, carrying out regular 1-2-1s aiding and supporting their development.

Deputise in absence of HoM

Represent the merchandising team in meetings when required.

Experience



Currently working at Senior Assistant Merch or Junior Merchandiser level Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and process improvement
