Are you passionate about food ,drink and service ,want to be part of an award-winning hospitality team- and still make it home for dinner? We are looking for a Junior Operations Manager to work with us looking after 5- 7 sites on a large national contract.


Location: London - Zones 1


Salary: 50,000 - 55,000 per annum depending on experience


Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development:



Organise, motivate, and manage catering staff, plan shifts, and support recruitment and training efforts.

Operational Oversight:



Monitor and manage daily catering operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and adherence to company standards.

Client & Service Management:



Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service to meet client expectations and foster strong relationships.

Health & Safety:



Ensure compliance with all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations, creating a safe working environment.

Financial Management:



Assist with budgeting, stock control, and managing catering costs to ensure operations remain within financial targets.

Menu & Product Innovation:



Support menu planning, taking into account special diets, cultural needs, and promotional initiatives to encourage uptake and satisfaction.

Problem Solving & Improvement:



Address underperformance, implement strategies for improvement, and proactively identify opportunities for operational efficiency and innovation.


About the role:


We are looking for an experienced B&I contract catering multi-site or group general manager to run 5-7 sites in London which provide a mix of retail and hospitality.

Essential Skills and Experience



Experience in catering or hospitality, preferably within a B&I contract catering environment. Experience managing turnover of 3-5million Strong leadership and team-management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, clients, and management. Proficiency in stock control, ordering, and rota planning. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations. A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work under pressure. Budgeting and financial awareness. Problem-solving skills and initiative.
