Knolton is a family run milk balancing company producing cheese, butter, dried powder and other dairy products. We are seeking new Junior Operators to support and strengthen our skilled production team. We offer training, support and excellent opportunities for career development.
The role of the operator is to effectively operate the packing line of the various plants, maintain hygiene standards within their area, as well as ensuring safe, consistent and efficient production within their role at the plant. Ensuring food safety standards are met and the cleanliness of the plant is at a high standard at all times.
This role involves working a week of days and then a week of nights which alternate.
Duties
Ensuring paperwork is filled in correctly and in align with the production procedure of the plant.
Ensuring production requirements are met; throughputs, packing rates are maintained
Reporting any plant issues to Plant Operator
Packing product as per customer specification and procedure
Ensuring the work area is clean and tidy
General organisation and cleanliness of plant
Wearing PPE correctly and maintaining stock levels of PPE/Hygiene cupboards
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Basic maths and English skills
Carrying out additional tasks required by management
Previous experience is not essential as full training will be given.
