The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT UK) is the chartered body for professionals involved in the movement of goods and people and their associated supply chains.

First established in 1919, CILT(UK) is a registered charity and part of the CILT International family with over 30,000 members in countries across the world. We hold a Royal Charter and have registered charity status.

Overview


As a key member of the Partnerships Team, you will play a vital role in driving both print and digital advertising revenue, while actively contributing to the growth and engagement of the CILT Company Partnership Community.

Taking a solutions-focused approach, you will build and nurture relationships with prospective and existing customers, delivering tailored proposals that align with their strategic objectives. Your ability to understand business needs and translate them into compelling partnership opportunities will be central to your success.

You will also provide dedicated support to a select group of existing Company Partners, ensuring they continue to derive value from their relationship with CILT and remain highly engaged.

Responsibilities



Build and manage a robust pipeline of print and digital advertising opportunities. Identify, target and convert new business opportunities to reach commercial targets. Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Deliver a high level of support to existing Company Partners to support engagement and renewal. Understand customer's business objectives to present tailored advertising and sponsorship solutions. Oversee the fulfilment of advertising packages, including coordinating deadlines, chasing advertising copy, and ensuring all assets are received on time. Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations to close sales effectively. Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline progress, and revenue forecasts using CRM tools. Continuously research current trends in print/digital media and adapt sales strategies accordingly. Demonstrate a strong understanding of CILT(UK), our audience, and products and services to effectively position advertising opportunities. Administration duties include but are not limited to, confirmation paperwork, uploading online adverts, proofing, and invoicing.

Skills:



Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone and email etiquette.*
Persuasion & Negotiation: Ability to handle objections, influence decisions, and close deals.*
Organisation: Capable of managing time effectively, prioritising tasks, and maintaining accurate records in CRM systems.*
Resilience: Comfortable with rejection and persistent in follow-ups.*
Initiative: Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.*
Tech Savvy: Familiarity with CRM platforms, LinkedIn, and basic office software (Excel, PowerPoint).*
Teamwork: Willingness to support senior sales staff and collaborate across departments.*

Experience:



Some experience in sales/customer service/business development (B2B/Advertising Sales background preferred).
