Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic Junior Press Officer to join our in-house PR team. The team includes a Head of External Communications, PR Manager, and Senior Press Officer. Your responsibilities will include executing PR campaigns and activity through a wide range of communication channels and to help run a busy in-house press office.


The role sits within the firm's energetic Commercial Group working closely with an integrated marketing team of 29 comprising our digital, social media, marketing and design experts. We deliver fully integrated campaigns. Making sure PR, social media and marketing activities are aligned is a key part of this role.

What will your role look like?




The successful applicant will be working on activity across all areas of the firm to execute effective PR and social media campaigns. There will be plenty of opportunity to develop your skills, contribute ideas and take responsibility, all in a supportive environment. Liaison with senior spokespeople within the firm will also be part of the role.


This role would be based in our London office, and you'll benefit from the flexibility of mixing home working and being in the office with our hybrid working approach. There will be the opportunity to travel across our other three offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Birmingham.

Though this is a varied role, your key tasks will include:



Working as part of multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated campaigns that encompass PR, marketing, digital and design to align activities and support business development. Helping to run the press office, responding quickly to media enquiries and maintaining media relationships. Helping to execute the PR plans for specific areas of the firm's services and activities Working closely with the social media team and spokespeople to leverage PR content on LinkedIn Co-ordinating and implementing media monitoring tools to ensure our media coverage is measured and analysed Helping to manage the online media centre. Liaising with spokespeople and experts within the firm Cultivating new contacts within the media Maintaining a keen understanding of industry trends, monitoring developments for topical commentary Helping to draft commentary, press releases, social media posts, articles, blogs and other campaign collateral.
