Role Overview

As a

Junior Mechanical Engineer

, you will support the design, development, testing, and production of multifunction tap systems. You'll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to contribute to mechanical design, prototyping, validation, and product improvements. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer eager to grow within a fast-paced product development environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for multifunction tap systems. Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to create 3D models and 2D drawings. Support prototype development, testing, and documentation of design changes. Collaborate with manufacturing, electrical, and quality teams to ensure products meet performance, safety, and cost targets. Conduct tolerance stack-ups, material selection, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews. Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain design documentation, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and technical files. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Essential:

Bachelor's degree (BEng or MEng) in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Hands-on mindset with an interest in prototyping and product testing. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Desirable:

Placement/internship experience in a manufacturing or product development environment. Familiarity with plastic and metal components, injection moulding, or fluid systems. Interest in sustainability, energy efficiency, and modern kitchen technologies.
