As part of a small, fast-moving team, you'll be involved across the full model development lifecycle -- from transforming raw data into structured insights, to deploying predictive systems our clients depend on. This is a high-impact role with real visibility and a direct line to measurable results.
You'll work on statistical modelling, algorithm design, and automation to build systems that drive decision-making in the betting space. If you're a mathematically sharp, curious, and collaborative individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
Build and maintain predictive models for horse racing markets.
Acquire, clean, and engineer data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.
Analyse results using statistical techniques and machine learning methods.
Identify meaningful patterns and trends in complex datasets.
Help test and deploy scalable algorithms for betting strategies.
Continuously iterate and improve model performance through back-testing
What We're Looking For:
Industry-based experience with Python or R (essential); familiarity with other languages such as C++ or Java is advantageous.
Strong grasp of statistical modeling and data analytics.
Degree (BSc minimum) in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering; equivalent practical experience also considered. MSc/PhD a plus.
Strong algorithmic thinking and understanding of data structures.
Exposure to forecasting models and machine/statistical learning techniques such as regression, SVMs, trees, or neural nets.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Comfortable working autonomously and in a collaborative environment.
Domain knowledge of horse racing is preferable and a strong advantage.
Compensation:
Competitive base salary.
Scope for performance-related bonus.
Working Arrangement:
This is a hybrid role based in London, with flexibility to work in the office between 1 to 5 days per week, depending on your preference and the requirements of the project you're working on.
