JOB OVERVIEW

The Business Development team are responsible for growing the Eddisons client base, generating a pipeline of work and looking after and growing existing clients.
Reporting to our Business Development Director this role will offer a wide range of sales and business development experiences with the aim of building the skills and knowledge required to grow your career in business development at the same time as growing our business.
The work will involve responding to incoming enquiries, researching potential new clients, making outgoing calls and targeting potential new clients via email, social media and marketing. There will also be trade events to attend from time to time.
DUTIES

Your core focus will be:
Helping to grow the Eddisons business via proactive and reactive contacts
Identifying potential new opportunities
Working alongside the rest of the Business Development team to learn and grow your skill set and gain a thorough understanding of Eddisons services in order to speak knowledgeably to potential clients
Key activities will be:
Responding to incoming enquiries
Researching potential new clients
Approaching prospective clients via email, telephone and social media and nurturing those contacts through to sale
Identifying upselling and cross selling opportunities within existing clients
Shadowing the wider team to learn more about Eddisons services and how the team works including key skills required to successfully grow the business
Attending shows and events to help promote Eddisons to the wider prospective client base (some overnight stays may be required depending on location)
