Windey Energy is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Developer to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and optimizing AI-enhanced energy trading systems that integrate seamlessly with renewable energy generation. You will work on challenging projects that involve trading algorithms, forecasting, and market optimization, collaborate with a talented team of engineers, and contribute to advancing renewable energy technology.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development: Design and implement software modules for electricity trading systems, including order management, trade execution, and market data handling.

Market Data Integration: Build robust interfaces for real-time and historical data feeds from electricity market platforms.

Machine Learning & AI Applications: Apply machine learning models for load/generation forecasting, price prediction, anomaly detection, and trading signal generation.

Algorithm & Strategy Implementation: Develop, test, and backtest bidding strategies and optimization algorithms powered by AI/ML.

Simulation & Analysis: Build simulation environments to evaluate trading strategies, optimize decision-making, and assess market risks.

System Integration: Integrate trading applications with renewable assets, energy storage, and digital twin models.

Innovation: Stay informed about the latest advancements in AI, energy markets, and renewable integration to drive innovation.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for trading workflows, ML pipelines, and integration processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.

Proven experience in software development for trading or system building

Strong programming skills in Python, C++ or Java, with experience using ML/AI frameworks.

Familiarity with time-series forecasting, reinforcement learning, or optimization techniques applied to trading or energy systems.

Experience with market data processing, real-time analytics, and algorithmic trading systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Passion for renewable energy, AI innovation, and sustainable markets.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
