Junior Unity Developer

Role Overview:

As a

Junior Unity Developer

, you will help lay the groundwork for the company's flagship 3D SaaS product. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including product, design, and backend development to deliver intuitive, performant user experiences using Unity.

You'll be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking environment where your ideas and code will make a direct impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Build interactive 3D features

using Unity and C#, with a strong focus on performance and usability.

Collaborate

with backend developers (Node.js / TypeScript) to integrate APIs and data-driven content into the Unity application.

Prototype and iterate

quickly to meet changing product requirements.

Debug, test, and optimise

application performance across devices.

Contribute to design discussions

and technical planning with the wider team.

Document code

and development processes for maintainability and future onboarding.
Skills & Experience:

Required:

1+ year experience using Unity and C# (commercial, freelance, academic, or personal projects). A good understanding of 3D development principles (game objects, animations, asset pipelines, prefabs, lighting, etc.). Exposure to REST APIs or backend integration. Strong communication skills - able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-moving startup environment.

Desirable:

Experience with shaders, physics, or real-time rendering. Familiarity with Node.js, TypeScript, or SQL is a plus. Knowledge of version control (e.g., Git). Previous exposure to SaaS or startup environments. UK driving licence (occasional site visits).
