About the Role

We are seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor (NQS, 1-2 years PQE) to join our Financial Mis-selling team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to develop litigation experience across a wide variety of consumer financial claims including:

Hidden commission (PCP and PPI-related) Irresponsible lending (e.g. payday loans, overdrafts, and credit cards) Packaged Bank Accounts (PBAs) Gambling-related unaffordability claims Council Tax and Section 75 claims
You will be working in a supportive and forward-thinking environment with exposure to both pre-issue and litigated matters. Training and close mentoring will be provided with clear progression opportunities as the department continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

Manage your own caseload of financial mis-selling files from initial client onboarding through to resolution Review financial documents, credit agreements, and client instructions to assess merits Draft complaints, pre-action letters, FOS submissions, and particulars of claim Liaise with clients, lenders, the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), and third-party litigation funders Prepare and issue court proceedings where appropriate, under supervision Monitor limitation periods and comply with all regulatory, procedural, and internal deadlines Work with internal data teams to help assess claim viability and identify trends Provide clear advice and updates to clients throughout the lifecycle of their claim

Requirements

Essential:

UK Qualified Solicitor (1-2 years PQE) Strong written communication and drafting skills Genuine interest in financial litigation and consumer redress Ability to manage and prioritise a busy caseload Commercial awareness and ability to spot viable claims Confident working with case management systems (Proclaim experience advantageous)

Desirable:

Experience with financial mis-selling, civil litigation, or consumer law Experience managing clients with volume instructions
