Junior Sous Chef

, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen leadership team in delivering innovative, seasonal, and globally inspired cuisine. This laid-back yet refined neighborhood dining concept champions natural luxury and a menu driven by hyper-seasonal ingredients, fermentation-forward techniques, and open-fire cooking -- all with zero borders on the plate.

Key Responsibilities:



Support the Chef de Cuisine in daily operations and ensure a smooth, efficient kitchen environment. Lead by example in maintaining high culinary standards and fostering a positive, inclusive kitchen culture. Actively participate in the rejuvenation of the culinary offering to ensure it remains relevant, sustainable, and aligned with the brand's wellness philosophy. Be hands-on in all kitchen sections, ensuring excellence in food preparation, presentation, and quality. Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene and safety standards. Ensure effective service recovery and an exceptional guest experience at all times. Check and receive produce in line with purchasing specifications and maintain stock control. Assist in managing labor costs and scheduling to ensure optimal productivity. Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen team members.

Qualifications & Experience:



Minimum 5 years of kitchen experience in a full-service or luxury hospitality setting. A hospitality diploma or culinary degree is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of meat and fish preparation, open-fire techniques, fermentation, and farm-to-table cooking. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with broiler equipment. Experience with kitchen systems and basic MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage. A genuine passion for sustainability, wellness, and culinary innovation.
