Summary
We are seeking a talented Junior Sous Chef to join our amazing kitchen team. In this role, you will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in preparing high-quality, fresh dishes while ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our reputation for excellence and creativity.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in delivery of the meals and afternoon teas, including breakfasts and lunches.
Provide occasional holiday cover for the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes and presentation standards including any dietary requests or requirements.
Ensure proper storage of food products and record-keeping.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
Deliver to agreed procedures and best practices.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
Requirements
Proven experience as an experienced Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role.
Have a desire to learn and progress in a well-respected, fresh food environment.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Knowledge of kitchen management and food safety regulations.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Understand the importance of reliability, team work and customer service.
