We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous/Sous Chef to join our small team for the re opening of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the operation of the kitchen, confident on all sections with a genuine love and passion for food, working with fresh ingredients producing everything in house from scratch. This position requires high standards, a keen eye for detail and an ability to work in a clean and organised manor in our open kitchen. The position is a full time hands on roll over 5 days to include evenings and weekends in one of the areas top restaurants.
Duties
Contribute to menu planning and dish development.
Prepare and cook on all sections to a high standard with keen attention to detail.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of food preparation.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, demonstrating expertise in various culinary techniques.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Experience
Proven experience as a Junior Sous/Sous Chef or in a similar role within a 2 rosette plus or michelin standard restaurant or experienced Chef de Partie looking to step up.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
