We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of dishes and excellent customer service.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen resources.
Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff, sharing culinary expertise and best practices.
Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and special event preparations as required.
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive food production, preparation, and cooking skills gained through restaurant or hospitality experience.
Strong team management abilities with excellent leadership qualities.
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Previous experience in a similar role such as Demi Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef is desirable.
Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail in food presentation.
