Overview

We are seeking 4 dedicated and skilled Sous Chef for our brand new West African restraint and grill, to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and hospitality, along with strong leadership qualities. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and safety, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining exceptional quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service. Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices. Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
