We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in food production and preparation, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will assist the Aiden in supervising kitchen operations and maintaining food safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Assist Aiden in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Help create new menu items and specials, contributing to the overall culinary vision of the restaurant.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, equipment use, and safety practices.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary best practices.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for cooking and creativity in menu development.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
