Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a genuine passion for hospitality.

Duties



Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Assist in food preparation and cooking, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Manage food production processes, ensuring timely service and high-quality dishes. Maintain food safety standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Train new kitchen staff on procedures, techniques, and safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting. Supervising experience is essential, with strong team management skills. Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership abilities, capable of motivating a diverse team. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is highly desirable.

Salary



32,500.00 p/a

+ TIPS (ca. 3-4k p/a)
