Coffi Co Penarth are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This position requires a passion for culinary arts, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
Help in menu development, including creating new dishes and improving existing recipes.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
