Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, and maintaining a positive and efficient working environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to food safety, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.

Duties



Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with our restaurant's menu and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings. Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and operational procedures. Ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully and meet the restaurant's quality standards before serving.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to foster teamwork and collaboration within the kitchen. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
