We are seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. Using local produce and sourcing the best food and drink available nationally and internationally,

You will assist the chef in the all areas, demonstrating the skills necessary to
produce good quality meals consistently, manage incoming orders efficiently whilst presenting dishes with creativity and imagination. You will be equally comfortable interacting with colleagues and customers and demonstrate a personal drive to develop your skills and capabilities through work. Responsibilities

Assist the Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities. Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards. Help in the creation of innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served. Maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Skills

Background in kitchen operations within a restaurant setting. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management. Proficient in food production techniques and culinary skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration within the team. A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
