About Us

The Bell, in the village of Ticehurst approximately 35 minutes from Sevenoaks is an award winning boutique hotel, pub, restaurant and wedding venue situated on the Kent/Sussex border Multi award winning and an AA 5 star Gold Accreditation. Recently awarded 2 AA Rosettes in our kitchen 50 seat restaurant renowned for serving contemporary English food, 11 bedrooms including 4 lodges, based on local Oast houses. Popular venue for weddings for up to 90 guests, intimate dinners, parties, lunches and gatherings. Comedy/film nights, Spring & Winter fairs along with a Summer music festival. Development plan over the next 18 months to include more bedrooms.

Experience

Hotel, restaurant or pub kitchen experience preferred Enthusiasm to progress Eager to learn Experience working in busy working environment

Days / Hours

We cover service times between breakfast and dinner 7 x days a week. Shift patterns will be provided in advance and will span 5 out of 7 days including weekends. Weekend work required

Key tasks and accountability

Preparation and production of food to agreed standards High level of communication Mise en place ready prior to service Observation of hygiene regulations HACCP Reliability and presentation

Experience / education

Minimum 1 year experience in a Chef de Partie position
